Whilst there is no current definitive list of eligible vehicles, the following outlines what vehicles are hopefully potentially eligible.
key eligibility criteria
- Touring cars that were manufactured between 1 January, 1973 and 31 December, 1984.
- vehicles must have originally had a minimum of four forward facing adult sized seats
- vehicles must have been available to the public through normal vehicle dealership networks with a minimum production volume of 200 units.
- The vehicle being raced is built around a period bodyshell, not a modern replica or reproduction.
What vehicles are eligible
- Any vehicle that raced in Australia in the period under under the CAMS Group C Improved Production Touring Car regulations.
- Any vehicle that was homologated by the FIA as a group 1 touring car in the period with a minimum production volume of 200 units.
- Run-on and Run off vehicles may be used but the appearance and engine must be from a vehicle manufactured in the period from 1 January, 1973 to 31 December, 1984.

Potential Sources of vehicles
vehicles that have been previously log booked into other categories or groups are a potential source for people looking to participate in Group Nd. Some of these will will require modification to comply with the ND Specific Requirements, whist some may be able to enter as "invited".
- Improved Production - 3J that are no longer competitive in that class.
- 'one make production series' such as Gemini, HQ Holden, Alfa Sud, E30 BMW, Ford Laser.
- Commodore Cup Cars.
- Original (Australian) Trans Am Series cars such as 2nd Generation Camaro, 1st Generation Mustang (1971-73), 2nd Generation Javelin and 3rd Generation Dodge Charger.
What vehicles are NOT Eligible
- Vehicles that Motorsport Australia have already classified as a Sports Car will not be eligible for Group ND Racing.
- Dealership special built vehicles.
- Factory motorsport only special built vehicles.

What vehicles need more discussion to determine a strategy
- Vehicles that Motorsport Australia have already classified as a Sports Car but have 4 or more seating positions.
- Vehicles that compete in Nc but carry over with few or no modifications into Nd time period.
2 door cars v Sports cars Minimum production volume
The vehicle must fully emulate the vehicle it is presented as. This means that if you build yourself an XB Falcon GT then it must fully emulate that vehicle and not be a mix of vehicle specific items from across the Falcon range.
The modern day adage to keep in mind is "I identify As..."

Vehicles that have already competed in Nd Sprint events:

- Volvo 240
- Toyota AE86 Sprinter (x 2)
- Commodore VB 308
- Commodore VC 308
- Nissan Skyline DR30
- Alfa Romeo GTV Type 116
- Ford XB Falcon GT
Vehicles being built/rebuilt by existing licence holders that will compete in near-future Nd events if special requirements (rules) remain much the same as currently proposed:
- Mitsubishi Scorpion
- Toyota AE86 Sprinter
- Toyota KE70 Corolla
- Toyota KE25 Corolla
- Toyota RA40 GT
- Alfa Romeo GTV-6
- Mazda RX7 S1
- Leyland P76 V8
- Ford Escort Mk2 RS2000
- Nissan 910 Bluebird SSS Turbo
Vehicles that Nd Facebook users have said they already own and may use as is or modify, subject to total lock-down of special requirements (rules) remain much the same as currently proposed:
- Volvo 242GT
- Volvo 240 turbo
- Alfa Romeo Alfetta
- Falcon XC
- Leyland P76
- Ford Escort (multiple)
- Triumph 2500 Mk2
- Triumph Dolomite Sprint
