The purpose of Group ND Racing is to develop a new racing group or sub-group to emulate, as far as practicable, the racing of various classes of touring cars that were raced in the period from 1 January, 1973 to 31 December, 1984
A clear focus has been the need of competitors to keep the sport relatively affordable and the need of spectators to visually relate to the models being raced.
Group Nd racing seeks to have the new group or sub-group eventually included in Motorsport Australia 5th category, which already caters for a diverse range of models prior to the suggested date range.
Group ND Racing recognises that due to the scarcity and value of certain models that some vehicles will be ’up-speced’ and ‘built’ to match the manufacturer’s specification of a more desirable/sporting model that they emulate. Where such occurs, the vehicle must fully, and not just selectively, emulate the chosen model (ie both appearance and mechanics within the limits of the rules and freedoms).
The name "Group Nd racing " was conceived to have a natural follow-on from current groups Na->Nc, but that may not be the final name that needs to be used.

Preparing a Car
The draft set of Specific Requirements is well under way. This is a good starting point if you want to consider building a car to enter into Group ND racing.
Vehicle Specifications
Eventually all Group ND cars will need to be logbooked. Part of this process wil be the generation of a Vehilce Specification, It is envisaged that drivers will assit in the creation of the vehicle specifications
